Where people heal animals, and animals heal people!

Ellen DeGeneres so wisely shared her belief that "Animals are the closest thing to God" (Modern Dog Magazine, Spring 2008). 

My own journey began as a young child, when I used money given to me to buy groceries, towards investing in rescuing animals who followed me home. Before I knew it, I was caring for ducks, cats, dogs, chicks, turtles (6!), rabbits, guinea pigs, you name it!…

I connected with my animals on a spiritual level, and learned from them some of the most important lessons of life. 



My academic credentials and training experience includes: 
- B.A., Psychology (York University, Toronto, 2000)
- M.A., Counselling Psychology (Adler School of Prof. Psychology, 2003)
- Toronto Child Psychoanalytic Program (TCPP first year 2005) 
- Compassion Fatigue Specialist Program (TAPE, 2007)
- Over ten years of various post-graduate training programs: 
  Infant, Child, and Adolescent  Psychotherapy, Animal Assisted Therapy,  Grief & Bereavement Studies.

In late 2002, following the loss of my beloved rabbit Zoë, I decided to answer a dire need for professional support, training, and education around the issues of dealing with the loss of a pet, and so was born the Canadian Centre for Pet Loss Bereavement (CCPLB)

In 2005 I have found my home in offering Reiki healing to pets and their humans, and have since been offering Reiki sessions to my furry clients, and Reiki Certification courses to animal lovers and those who work with animals. I studied with wonderful mentors such as Barb Keshen in Toronto, and Kathleen Prasad in California. I am proudly registered with the International Association of Reiki Professionals (IARP), and I continue to learn from the people and the beautiful animals that come my way as teachers and healers in my own journey.

I believe that we are meant to lead a life of purpose, joy, and meaning, and that everyone should be able to do what they love and love what they do. I am delighted to be traveling, teaching, and speaking to students who seek to be reminded of their own true and authentic essence while awakening the knowledge within !

I share my life in Vancouver, B.C with my partner and our three rabbits and two cats: Pfizer & Bauer, who undeniably boss us around!
